Welcome to Koodibalana Matrimony (“Koodibalana”, “we”, “us”, “our”, “Platform” or “Service”).
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Koodibalana website, mobile application, digital platform, services, membership plans, profile services, communication facilities and related features (collectively, the “Services”).
By registering, accessing, browsing, creating a profile, purchasing a membership, communicating with another member or otherwise using Koodibalana, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and other applicable policies published on the Platform.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not register for or use the Services.
1. ABOUT KOODIBALANA MATRIMONY
Koodibalana Matrimony is an online matrimonial platform intended to facilitate the discovery and communication of individuals and families who are interested in lawful matrimonial alliances.
Koodibalana provides technology and digital facilities through which users may:
Create matrimonial profiles;
Search and discover other profiles;
Express interest in prospective matches;
Receive or send interest requests;
Communicate with other members, where enabled;
Manage partner preferences;
Upload photographs and other permitted information;
Obtain membership-based features;
Receive profile recommendations or matching suggestions; and
Use other matrimonial-related features introduced by Koodibalana from time to time.
KOODIBALANA IS ONLY A PLATFORM/FACILITATOR.
Koodibalana does not itself enter into, negotiate, solemnize, arrange, guarantee or become a party to any marriage or matrimonial relationship between users.
2. PLATFORM-ONLY DISCLAIMER
Koodibalana operates primarily as a technology platform connecting users who voluntarily seek matrimonial alliances.
We are not:
A marriage registrar;
A marriage solemnization authority;
A government verification authority;
A police or investigative agency;
A private detective agency;
A legal representative of any member;
A financial intermediary between members;
A guarantor of any member;
An employer or representative of any member;
A travel or immigration agency;
A relationship counsellor unless expressly stated;
A guarantor of matrimonial compatibility;
A guarantor of the identity, education, employment, income, family background, financial status, marital status, character, health or intentions of any user; or
A party to any communication, engagement, relationship or marriage resulting from use of the Platform.
The existence of a profile on Koodibalana must not be treated as an endorsement, certification, recommendation or guarantee by Koodibalana.
3. USER RESPONSIBILITY
Every user is solely responsible for:
The accuracy of information submitted to Koodibalana;
The authenticity of photographs and documents uploaded;
The accuracy of educational, professional and financial information;
The accuracy of marital and family information;
Communications with other users;
Decisions to contact, meet or marry another user;
Independent verification of a prospective match;
Any money or property transaction with another user;
Protecting personal passwords and account credentials;
Compliance with applicable laws; and
The consequences of any relationship or transaction entered into through contacts made on the Platform.
Users must conduct their own due diligence before proceeding with any matrimonial proposal.
4. ELIGIBILITY
You must satisfy the applicable legal age and other eligibility requirements for marriage under the laws applicable to you.
You must not use Koodibalana if:
You are legally prohibited from using matrimonial services;
You are impersonating another person;
You are creating a fraudulent or misleading profile;
You are using the Platform for an unlawful purpose; or
Your use of the Platform violates applicable law.
Where a profile is created by a parent, guardian, relative, friend or other authorized person on behalf of a prospective bride or groom, the person creating the profile confirms that they are authorized to provide the information and that the prospective member has been informed, where applicable.
5. REGISTRATION AND ACCOUNT
Users may be required to provide information including:
Name;
Date of birth;
Gender;
Contact information;
Location;
Education;
Occupation;
Family information;
Marital information;
Photographs;
Partner preferences; and
Other information required for providing matrimonial services.
You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information.
You must not knowingly provide false, misleading, fabricated or materially incomplete information.
Koodibalana may request additional information or verification where reasonably necessary.
6. PROFILE AUTHENTICITY
Users understand that Koodibalana may rely upon information voluntarily supplied by users.
Although Koodibalana may undertake certain verification or moderation measures, NO VERIFICATION PROCESS CAN GUARANTEE THAT ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED BY A USER IS COMPLETE, CURRENT OR TRUE.
A “verified”, “approved” or similar label, where provided, means only that the particular verification process specified by Koodibalana has been completed.
It does not mean that:
The person is guaranteed to be genuine in every respect;
All information provided by the person is independently verified;
The person's character has been certified;
The person's financial status has been certified;
The person's intentions have been certified; or
Koodibalana recommends the person for marriage.
7. INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION
Users are strongly advised to independently verify information about prospective matches before sharing sensitive information, meeting in person, becoming engaged, entering into financial arrangements or proceeding towards marriage.
Depending on the circumstances, users may independently verify:
Identity;
Age;
Marital status;
Education;
Employment;
Business ownership;
Income claims;
Residential address;
Family information;
Social and professional background;
Existing marriage or relationship status;
Legal issues where lawfully ascertainable; and
Any other information relevant to their decision.
Koodibalana shall not be responsible for a user's failure to conduct reasonable verification.
8. NO GUARANTEE OF MATCH OR MARRIAGE
Koodibalana does not guarantee:
That a suitable match will be found;
That a particular profile will respond;
That a user will receive interest requests;
That a particular match will result in communication;
That communication will result in a meeting;
That a meeting will result in engagement;
That engagement will result in marriage;
That a marriage will remain successful;
That users will be compatible;
That information provided by another user is completely accurate; or
That any matrimonial outcome will occur within a particular period.
Membership fees are paid for access to specified Platform features and not for a guaranteed matrimonial outcome, unless expressly stated otherwise in a written service commitment.
9. USER COMMUNICATIONS
Koodibalana may provide communication facilities such as:
Interest requests;
Messages;
Contact requests;
Chat;
Voice or video facilities;
Notifications; and
Other communication tools.
Users understand that communications are between users.
Koodibalana is not responsible for:
Statements made by another user;
Promises made by another user;
Misrepresentations;
Emotional disputes;
Relationship disputes;
Engagement disputes;
Family disputes;
Marriage disputes; or
Any consequence arising from communication between users.
Users must exercise caution when communicating with strangers.
10. PERSONAL INFORMATION AND PRIVACY
Koodibalana may collect and process personal information necessary to operate the Platform.
Such information may include profile information, contact details, photographs, preferences, communications, device information, usage information and other information described in the Privacy Policy.
Koodibalana will process personal data in accordance with applicable law and its Privacy Policy.
India's Digital Personal Data Protection framework establishes obligations concerning the processing and protection of digital personal data, with the 2025 Rules providing the implementation framework and a phased commencement schedule.
Users should read the Koodibalana Privacy Policy carefully before registering.
11. PROFILE VISIBILITY
Depending on the user's settings and membership plan, certain profile information may become visible to other registered users.
Users acknowledge that information voluntarily placed on a matrimonial profile may be viewed, copied, remembered or otherwise used by persons who have access to that information.
Koodibalana will take reasonable measures appropriate to the Platform to protect user information, but NO INTERNET PLATFORM CAN GUARANTEE ABSOLUTE SECURITY OR CONFIDENTIALITY.
Users should not publish information that they do not wish to share with prospective matrimonial contacts.
12. SENSITIVE INFORMATION
Users should exercise extreme caution before sharing:
Aadhaar details;
PAN details;
Bank account information;
Credit/debit card details;
OTPs;
Passwords;
UPI PINs;
Financial statements;
Property documents;
Passport information;
Confidential employment documents;
Medical records; or
Other highly sensitive personal information.
Koodibalana will never ask a user to disclose their OTP, UPI PIN, banking password or similar authentication credentials through another member.
13. FRAUD, SCAMS AND FINANCIAL SAFETY
Users must never send money to another user merely because that person has represented themselves as a prospective matrimonial partner.
Users should be particularly cautious of requests involving:
Emergency medical expenses;
Travel expenses;
Visa processing;
Immigration;
Business investment;
Loans;
Gifts;
Gold or jewellery;
Cryptocurrency;
Online trading;
Bank transfers;
UPI transfers;
Advance payments;
Employment opportunities; or
Any other financial request.
Koodibalana does not facilitate or guarantee financial transactions between users.
If you suspect fraud, immediately stop communication, preserve relevant evidence and report the profile to Koodibalana and, where appropriate, the relevant law-enforcement authorities.
14. MEETINGS WITH OTHER USERS
If you decide to meet another user:
Meet in a public place;
Inform a trusted family member or friend;
Arrange your own transportation;
Do not share unnecessary financial information;
Do not hand over valuable property;
Do not allow another person to control your banking or digital accounts;
Do not send money to someone you have only met online;
Consider conducting appropriate identity verification; and
Follow your own safety judgment.
Koodibalana is not responsible for the safety of users during offline meetings.
15. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES
Users shall not use Koodibalana to:
Create fake profiles;
Impersonate another person;
Upload another person's photograph without authorization;
Harass another member;
Threaten another member;
Stalk another member;
Send abusive or obscene material;
Send unsolicited commercial messages;
Promote unrelated businesses;
Conduct fraudulent schemes;
Request money from users;
Promote illegal activities;
Facilitate human trafficking or exploitation;
Promote prostitution or sexual services;
Discriminate unlawfully;
Upload malicious software;
Attempt to hack the Platform;
Scrape or copy the database without authorization;
Reverse engineer the Platform;
Sell or transfer accounts;
Use automated bots without authorization;
Attempt to bypass Platform security;
Publish another user's confidential information;
Use the Platform for political or commercial solicitation without permission; or
Violate any applicable law.
16. CONTENT UPLOADED BY USERS
Users may upload photographs, descriptions, preferences and other profile content (“User Content”).
The user represents and warrants that:
They own or have lawful permission to use the User Content;
The User Content is not knowingly false or misleading;
The User Content does not infringe another person's intellectual property rights;
The User Content does not violate privacy rights;
The User Content does not contain unlawful material; and
The User Content complies with these Terms.
Koodibalana may remove, restrict or disable User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
17. PHOTOGRAPHS
Users should upload only photographs that:
Belong to them; or
They are legally authorized to use.
Users must not upload photographs of another person and represent that person as themselves.
Koodibalana may remove photographs that are misleading, inappropriate, offensive, unlawful or inconsistent with Platform policies.
18. MODERATION AND PROFILE REMOVAL
To protect the community, Koodibalana may:
Review profiles;
Moderate content;
Restrict visibility;
Request verification;
Suspend accounts;
Remove profiles;
Block users;
Disable communication features;
Investigate reported violations; or
Take other reasonable action.
Koodibalana may take such action where it reasonably believes that a user has violated these Terms, applicable law, safety requirements or Platform policies.
19. REPORTING A USER
Users may report profiles or content that they believe:
Is fake;
Is fraudulent;
Contains inappropriate material;
Involves harassment;
Requests money;
Impersonates another person;
Contains false information; or
Violates these Terms.
Koodibalana may investigate reports and take appropriate action.
However, Koodibalana does not guarantee that every report will result in account suspension or removal.
20. MEMBERSHIP AND PAID SERVICES
Koodibalana may offer free and paid services.
Paid membership may provide additional features such as:
Increased profile visibility;
Additional search features;
Contact access;
Communication features;
Profile highlighting;
Premium recommendations; or
Other features specified on the relevant membership page.
The exact features, price, duration and applicable taxes will be displayed before purchase.
21. PAYMENT
Users agree to provide accurate payment information when purchasing paid services.
Payments may be processed through third-party payment service providers.
Koodibalana does not store or control all payment credentials processed by third-party payment providers.
Users must follow the applicable payment provider's terms.
22. SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL
Where automatic renewal is offered, the applicable renewal terms, amount, frequency and cancellation mechanism will be disclosed before or at the time of subscription.
Users are responsible for cancelling renewal where they no longer wish to continue a recurring service.
23. REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Refund eligibility will depend on the specific membership plan and refund policy displayed at the time of purchase.
Where a refund is permitted, Koodibalana may process the refund through the original payment method or another legally permissible method.
Fees may not be refundable merely because:
A user did not find a suitable match;
A prospective match did not respond;
A user changed their mind;
A user did not use the membership;
A prospective relationship did not succeed; or
A marriage did not take place,
unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly provided in the applicable refund policy.
24. SERVICE AVAILABILITY
Koodibalana will endeavour to keep the Platform operational but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
The Platform may occasionally be unavailable because of:
Maintenance;
Technical failures;
Server problems;
Internet disruptions;
Cybersecurity incidents;
Third-party service failures;
Government restrictions;
Natural disasters;
Force majeure events; or
Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
25. ALGORITHMS AND MATCHING
Koodibalana may use search tools, filters, preferences, algorithms or automated systems to recommend profiles.
Matching or recommendation results are provided for convenience.
A recommended profile does not mean that Koodibalana has certified compatibility or suitability.
Algorithmic recommendations should not be treated as professional, psychological, legal or relationship advice.
26. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Koodibalana may use third-party services including:
Payment gateways;
Cloud hosting providers;
SMS providers;
Email providers;
Analytics services;
Identity verification providers;
Communication services;
Security services; and
Other technology providers.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Koodibalana is not responsible for the independent acts, omissions or policies of third-party service providers except to the extent required by applicable law.
27. EXTERNAL LINKS
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services.
Such links are provided for convenience.
Koodibalana does not necessarily endorse or control those third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices or services.
28. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All rights in the Koodibalana brand, logo, website design, software, graphics, text, trademarks, service marks and other Platform materials belong to Koodibalana or their respective licensors, unless otherwise stated.
Users may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, publish or commercially exploit Platform materials without prior written authorization.
29. USER LICENCE TO PLATFORM
Subject to these Terms, Koodibalana grants users a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to access and use the Platform for lawful matrimonial purposes.
This licence does not transfer ownership of any Koodibalana intellectual property to the user.
30. NO PROFESSIONAL ADVICE
Information available on Koodibalana is provided for general matrimonial and platform-related purposes.
Koodibalana does not provide:
Legal advice;
Financial advice;
Medical advice;
Immigration advice;
Psychological diagnosis;
Professional background investigation; or
Any other regulated professional advice,
unless expressly provided through a separately identified and legally qualified service.
31. USER DISPUTES
Any dispute between two or more users must primarily be resolved between the concerned users.
Koodibalana is not a party to the personal relationship between users.
Users agree not to hold Koodibalana responsible for disputes arising from:
Matrimonial proposals;
Engagements;
Marriages;
Family disagreements;
Financial transactions;
Personal communications;
Misrepresentations by another user; or
Offline interactions,
except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
32. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Koodibalana shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive losses arising from:
User-to-user interactions;
False information supplied by users;
Failed matrimonial proposals;
Relationship disputes;
Failed engagements;
Failed marriages;
Financial transactions between users;
Personal injury arising from an offline meeting;
Loss caused by unauthorized access;
Third-party service failures; or
User decisions based upon information appearing on the Platform.
Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
33. INDEMNIFICATION
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Koodibalana, its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses arising from:
Your violation of these Terms;
False or misleading information submitted by you;
Your User Content;
Your misuse of the Platform;
Your violation of another person's rights;
Your unlawful conduct; or
Your interactions with other users.
34. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION
Koodibalana may suspend or terminate an account where:
These Terms are violated;
False information is discovered;
Fraud is suspected;
A safety risk is identified;
The account is used unlawfully;
The account is involved in harassment or abuse;
Payment obligations are violated;
The account is inactive where applicable; or
Termination is otherwise reasonably necessary to protect the Platform or its users.
Users may also request closure of their account in accordance with the applicable account-deletion process.
35. DATA RETENTION
Certain information may need to be retained after account closure where required for:
Legal compliance;
Fraud prevention;
Dispute resolution;
Accounting and tax requirements;
Security;
Enforcement of contractual rights; or
Other lawful purposes.

Profiles involving minors or persons below the legally permitted age for the relevant service may be restricted or removed.
Parents or guardians must not use the Platform in a manner that violates applicable child-protection or matrimonial laws.
39. NO UNLAWFUL DISCRIMINATION
Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of the Platform complies with applicable law.
Koodibalana may provide search and preference options for matrimonial purposes, but such features must not be used to facilitate unlawful discrimination, harassment or prohibited conduct.
40. CHANGES TO THE PLATFORM
Koodibalana may introduce, modify, suspend or discontinue features from time to time.
We may also modify these Terms when reasonably necessary because of:
Changes in law;
Regulatory requirements;
New Platform features;
Security requirements;
Business changes; or
Improvements to the Services.
Updated Terms may be published on the Platform.
41. CHANGES TO TERMS
Your continued use of Koodibalana after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If you do not agree with material changes, you should stop using the Services and close your account where applicable.
42. FORCE MAJEURE
Koodibalana shall not be responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:
Natural disasters;
War;
Terrorism;
Government restrictions;
Internet or telecommunications failures;
Cyberattacks;
Epidemics or pandemics;
Labour disruptions;
Power failures;
Infrastructure failures; or
Third-party service disruptions.
43. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
44. WAIVER
Failure by Koodibalana to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision later.
45. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Community Guidelines and any other policies expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement governing your use of Koodibalana.
46. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
Subject to applicable law, disputes concerning the Platform or these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts having appropriate jurisdiction over the registered office/place of business of Koodibalana, as specified in the final legal version of these Terms.

You agree to comply with these Terms;

You accept responsibility for information submitted by you;
You agree to conduct reasonable independent verification of prospective matches; and
You agree to comply with applicable law.
